LUCY SEMMENCE PIANO STUDIO
Learn to play and create music with ease
Welcome to my piano studio! I am delighted that you have found your way to my website.
Learning the piano is a lifelong journey and piano lessons with me give you the very best start. My students learn to play with ease from the very first lesson and develop into committed and enthusiastic musicians. My progressive approach is different to the traditional methods used by most teachers and as a result, lessons are fun, creative and full of deep learning.

TESTIMONIALS
"Lucy has been teaching my two daughters aged 9 and 6 for a while now. They are enjoying learning in a group of similar age students as it has allowed them to share music and perform duets. They come home wanting to practice and to show what they can do. They enjoy exploring different types of music and creating their own music pieces."
Edwige, parent
“Lucy exudes passion and energy for the Music Moves method that brings music to life. Her engaging teaching style together with the progressive syllabus makes learning fun.”
Chris, adult student
"My 7 year old daughter has had piano lessons from Lucy for just a few weeks and is picking it up very quickly. Lucy is a fantastic teacher - pupils learn in a fun way and pick up the technique quicker than they would with traditional piano lessons. I would highly recommend Lucy's lessons for yourself or your child."

ABOUT LUCY
Music has always been an important part of my life, particularly at university, where I was a member of the symphony orchestra, gospel choir and instrumental ensembles. After a career as a research scientist I decided to re-establish my connection with music and trained in piano teaching at the highly regarded Piano Teacher’s Course UK. I graduated from the course in 2018 with Distinction. I continue to develop my musicianship and teaching through research and training from a global network of musicians and music teachers.
