Welcome to my piano studio! I am delighted that you have found your way to my website.
Learning the piano is a lifelong journey and piano lessons with me give you the very best start. My students learn to play with ease from the very first lesson and develop into committed and enthusiastic musicians. I take a progressive approach to teaching that’s different from traditional methods—making lessons fun, creative, and full of discovery.
GROUP AND ONE-TO-ONE LESSONS
I offer a range of group and one-to-one piano lessons for both children (aged 4 and above) and adults at my home studio in Weymouth, Dorset.
Group lessons welcome up to three students and run for 45 or 60 minutes, depending on age and ability. One-to-one lessons are available in 30- or 45-minute sessions, tailored to each student’s individual learning needs.
Lessons take place weekly during school term time, and students have the opportunity to perform in informal studio recitals up to twice a year—a fun and encouraging way to share their progress.
Each student also receives a personalised audio playlist to support musical development, listening, and practice at home.

ABOUT LUCY
Music has always been an important part of my life, especially during my university years, where I was an active member of the symphony orchestra, gospel choir, and various instrumental ensembles. After a career as a research scientist, I chose to reconnect with my musical roots and completed my piano teaching training at the highly regarded Piano Teacher’s Course UK, graduating with Distinction in 2018. I continue to grow as both a musician and educator through ongoing study, including training in Music Learning Theory and the Alexander Technique, as well as learning from a global network of musicians and music teachers.
